Thank goodness crooks are stupid. Case in point Wednesday, when sheriff's deputies were already feeling good about catching two suspected burglars in the act:
The station received a call from Rite Aid (across the street from the sheriff's station). Several days before, a customer purchased $2,000 worth of cash cards with a bad check. Now he was back, trying to do the same thing again. He was arrested, of course -- because trying to repeat the same crime -- in the same place -- and across the street from the cop shop, no less -- probably means a life of crime is not a good career choice.
